Hinata's runaway
Chapter 1:The fire

Hinata was on the brink of falling asleep when suddenly, she heard a knock on her door. She groggily crawled out of bed and slowly opened the door. Rubbing her eyes she saw that it was one of her  teammates,Kiba.

"H-hey Kiba-kun" she studdered partially because she was tired, but mostly because of nervousness and habit

"Hey Hinata-chan," Kiba rubbed his eyes "Just came to check up on you, so is everything ok?"

Hinata was confused "How did you manage to get in here?"

Kiba smirked "I did some 'Persuading' at the front gate and they decided to let me in." he winked at her. Hinata walked/ran towards her window a peeked out. she saw the 2 gate keepers lieing on the ground unconscious.she walked back over to her teamate.

She whispers "Kiba! you can't keep beating up the gaurds they'll suspect something and if father found out he would be outraged!" she peeked out the door and looked left to right to see if everthing was clear, then quickly pulled Kiba into her room by the collar of his shirt.

She answered his question "Y-Yes, Kiba I'm fine, you need to leave quickly! F-Father will be here to check on me himself in a short while!"

Kiba snarled "Why are you so scared of that guy anyway?!" it came out louder than he meant it to. Hinata quickly placed her hand over his mouth. Hinata blushed and Kiba pinkend a bit. she cleared her throat " You n-need to leave. please I don't want you to get in trouble" she heard foot steps coming down the hallway "hurry!" she ran over to her window and opened it. Kiba followed and jumped out as soon as it was opened.

Hinata's father burst through the door "HINATA!"

Hinata was startled by her fathers outburst "Y-yes father...?"

He paused for a second,looked around the room,then looked at her " Why is your window open?"

Hinata tensened "Uhm, I-I thought it was s-sorta warm in here."

Her father looked around the room again " hmmm... well go to bed! I have a long day of training for you tommorow."

She sighed in her mind "Thank god." She snapped backed to reality when her father said,

"Do you understand?" he said calmly but just loud enough to get her attention.

"Y-Yes sir." she said nervously

"Good." without saying another word, he closed the door.

Hinata let out a releived sigh "Wow that was close..." she heard a knock on her mindow and saw Kiba squating in her window seal. She was too tired to deal with the dog being, so she calmly went over and said just loud enough to where he could hear her "good night, Kiba-kun" and she closed the blind to her window. She crawled into her bed hearing Kiba jump and land with a soft thud on the ground and run of in the night. Then, she drifted off into sleep hoping to have dreams of her one unknowing true love, Naruto Uzimaki ...when suddenly...

-0- Meanwhile -0-

Naruto was drfting off into a deep sleep.... when suddenly *BOOOM!!* he quickly raised up and franticly looked around the room. he focused his hearing to pinpoint the location of the explosion. "Oh my god... Hinata-chan!" He quickly ran toward his window and didn't take the time to open it, he crashed through it and landed gracefully on the ground, sprinted down the street about a block, and jumped on top of the rooftops and jumped through the town until he reache hinata's house, which had smoke pouring from the windows and any other part of the house that was visable.

-0- outside the house -0-

Neji and his father were outside the house. Neji and his father were both covered in soot and were coughing badly.

Neji suddenly relized something " FATHER!!, where's Hinata-nii san???"

His father was shocked " Oh no, she's still inside!" both of there eyes widened, and they both knew it was too dangerous to re-enter the house. so they both waited the faithful moment that there nii san would finnaly exit the blazing inferno that was their home.

Hinata was stumbleing over everything intil she,unfortunatly, jabbed her ribs into the side of her night-stand. she let out an agonizing scream. She fell to the floor, struggling to get up, when she took a sharp intake of breath as someones feet landed on her back.

"Ack!" Hinata was choking on the smoke that she had taken in so abruptly

The unknown being came close to her ear " So, I hope you'll be able to survive this inferno..." the figure took out ropes and tied them around her wrists,ankles, and put some duct tap on her mouth and tossed her into a corner. the man whispered something "Thats from th-..."

Hinata tried to say something under the duct tape "na-uto!" but she gasped,stupidly, took in more smoke, and passed out.

The blonde hair shinobi, knocked the wind out of the ninja that attempted to kill Hinata by kicking him in the stomach and making the nin fall to the floor. He squinted spotting the unconscious Hinata against the wall. He hastely picked up the muerderous nin he knocked out, then quickly ran over to Hinata and tossed her over his shoulder, the best he could anways, considering the strange way she had been tied up. He burst out the already busted window he made in his hasty enter.

After the not so greatful thanks Naruto had gotten from Hinata's father and Neji, all though he thought Neji's thank yiu was a little more greatful,all though he didn't take much thought in it.


-0- in the Konoha Hospital -0-

After the not-so-greatful thanks Naruto had gotten from Hinata's father and Neji, he went to see Hinata in her room. After they had escaped from the inferno, she had been imediatly rushed to the hospital due smoke inhalation and 2nd and 3rd degree burns.

Shortly, he was sitting next to hinata's hospital bed, he hadn't relized how tired he was until he saw Hinata sleeping. Eventually he fell asleep sitting up and tipped over onto Hinata's stomach.slowly she woke up, and when she saw Naruto laying literaly on top over her, her heart rate went up which made the monitor next her beep wildly. Hearing the beeping noise, the blond headed shinobi sat up and saw that Hinata was awake.


She blushed "H-h-hey N-naruto-kun..."

He grinned that big grin he always did when he was happy "Hai! Hinata-sama!"

She suddenly remebered the past events and gasped " Wh-who attacked me? and not to mention my family." hinata was angry but didn't show it in front of Naruto.

Naruto was silent for a moment "He escaped, but Tsunade has 3 top knotch nin's looking for... well he has resently been identified as a... girl! actaully more specificly and 13 year old girl! she used some sort of jutsu to disguise her voise or something... the village she came from is unknown at this point."

Hinata had regret in her eyes "I... let a 13 year old girl attack me..." she was on the brink of crying when she looked up and saw Naruto's saphire eyes staring at her with consideration. "I'm pathetic, aren't I Naruto- kun...?"

Naruto gasped at the entire statement "Of course not Hinata! She caught you off gaurd it's happened plenty of times to me before! and plus your only one year older than her." His voice was full of confidence which made Hinata fell much better

"Thank you for saying that, Naruto-kun." Hinata said looking back down to her hands which she was fiddling with in her lap

He grined and closed his eyes in happyness "No problem!"

Everything was quite for the moment, until Kiba,Shino,Kureni,Sakura,Shikamaru, and Tsunade walked through the door. Everyone said in sequence'Hi hinata!', except for Tsunade, who had a rather harsh look on her face.

Hinata looked up instantly and was about to say hello until she noticed that neither Neji nor her father was there. She looked back down.

"Hello..." she said in a whisper

Kiba came over kock Naruto out of his seat. everyone laughed including Hinata, which made her cough. Everyone gasped, except Tsunda,Kureni, and Naruto. Tsunada and Kureni didn't because they knew it was only a minor cough and didn't mean anything and Naruto didn't because he was angry at Kiba for tossing him in the floor. When she stopped everyone settled back down. Kiba and Naruto started shoving each other around until Tsunade entered the arguement.

"THATS ENOUGH!!" she said angryly while breaking the fight up "Hinata is in no condition to have this kind of behavior around!" She realesed the 2 boys and they bowed to both Tsunade and Hinata and they both walked over to the group. Hinata was rather disappoited that Naruto went but didn't say anything.

Tsunade took the seat next to Hinata's bed next "ok, now that that's settled, we need to take care of the problem that lies ahead." she looked over to Hinata who was staring at her wondering what she meant. she cleared her throat before continuing "Now, we all know that thats was no ordinary 13 year old ninja that we have on our hands." she took a pause for a moment to see if anyone had a comment. surprizing not even Naruto had anything to say. "We have 3 ninja out already looking for her and still haven't found anything. No trace of tracks, no DNA, nothing." This time naruto had something to say.

"But how is that possible???" he said loudly

Tsunade retorted "What part of ' No ordinary ninja' don't you understand?" Naruto sighed and she continued. "ok, I know this is short notice, but you all, excluding Hinata,will be going on a possibly A rank mission" Hinata's eyes widened and had her own comment but decided to save it until she was alone with the Hokage. " Ok, Shikamaru,Naruto, and Sakura, you all shall be leaving in a group, and, of course, Shikamaru will be captain,you will be leaving tommorow!You will all be going to look in all the diffrent countries for as long as possible, you'll come back under no cercumstance on less one of your teamates becomes unable to fight are has died." The three  said in sequence "Yes Ma'am!" and Tsunade gave them the order to leave, they all waved bye to Hinata and the other people in the room and closed the door behind them.

"Now," she turned her atteintien to Shino and Kiba "You both will be searching in this area for clues, asking nearby resturants, INNs or anyother place possible to where she could be." Shino simply hid his emotions behind his sunglasses but Kiba snarled. Tsunade gave him a harsh stare until he calmed down and she gave them the order to leave. Kiba and Shino both waved goodbye to Hinata, she noticed a small figure in the hallway. Kiba said "C'mon Akamaru!" and let shrill whistle and Akamaru jumped into the hood of kiba's jacket. Tsunada scoffed and finnaly directed her atteinten to Kureni who was standing patiently for her orders. "You will be gaurding Hinata from inside the room, I'll have Kakashi or somebody watch the outside" Kureni said si ple "Yes Ma'am!"

Tsunade was about to leave when Hinata said "Why can't I go Hokage-sama?"

Tsunade turned around and smirked slightly "your the heir to the hyuuga clan, it's to dangerous, and you in your condtion? Why would you want do looking for the person that tried to kill you?" she said puzzled

"because..." hinata whispered

" 'Because' why Hinata?" Tsunade said slightly confused

"Because I want to show to my father that I'm not completely worthless!" Hinata yelled and coughed after words

Tsunade laughed " Don't get yourself overly excited Hinata, your day will com..."

"I know and nows my chance!" Hinata was trying not to cough but couldn't help herself

Tsunade had a stern look of her face now "Now listen Hinata!" Hinata was pale at the face now.

"I-I'm sorry hokage-sama..." hinata said letting out a sigh

Tsunade's face loosened a bit "It's ok Hinata, like I said your day will come to prove to your father that you not worthless, like I know your not" she smiled but Hinata didn't get rid of the frusterated look of her face. Kureni was watching, amazed at Hinata's short burst of courage. "wow" she thought to herself "where did that come from?"

Tsunade walked out of the room and hinata was, once again, twiddling her thumbs and fingers looking down at them like they were doing acrobatic stunts.

hinata thought "That day will be sooner than she thinks, trust me." Hinata was now clinching her fists and noticed that Kureni was looking at her puzzled.

"Hinata is something wrong...?" she cautiosly approched the shinobi

Hinata snapped back to realty "y-yes Kureni-sensei, I'm fine" she said half heartedly.

"ok if you say so, I'll over there nexted to the window, get some sleep"

"yes sensei"

Kureni went over and turned off the light and walked over to the moon lit window.


-0- *later that night* -0-

when Hinata knew for sure that Kureni knew she was asleep she slowly got out of bed and inched her way over to her seemingly-unknowing sensei.

"Go back to bed Hinata" Kureni said right as Hinata was behind her.

"I'm sorry but I can't do that sensei"

Kureni turned around "what do you mea-" before she could answer Hinata had side sweeped her sensei. she blocked and quickly pulled a kunai against Hinata's throat "hinata! whats gotten into you?!" she said amzed and slightly startled

"it's just what I said before I want to prove that I'm not worthless, but not only to my fathr and Neji but to the one I truley love!" In the struggled Kureni and accidenly pricked Hinata's neck with the kunai. she let Hinata go and let her put a band aid on her throat.

"Hinata, I know how yout feel-!"

"what?! you know how I feel I dought it!" she said to her sensei. In her eyes she was just another person trying to get in her way of fullfilling her dream

"Hinata I'm not trying to hurt you." Kureni said calmly

Hinata was silent for a moment "...I know your not Kureni-sensei... but please let me leave?" knowing she would refuse, she was already behind her sensei

Kureni sighed "I'm sorry hinat-"

"sensei open your eyes" she said menacingly

Kureni quickly opened her eyes "hina-!" she felt a sudden pressure on the back of her kneck and blacked out

"I'm sorry sensei" she said whiping a tear from her eye "I'll be back soon... hopefully"

With that, she opened and jumped out the window and she would hid in the woods til' morning came.
